He has also served as Chief Secretary to Govt. Of Jharkhand during which time numerous developmental activities were carried out in the state including signing of MOU’s with major mega investors like Tata Steel, Tata Power, Aditya Birla Group, Mittal Steel, Jindal Steel Works (JSW), Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL) and RPG groups.
He is currently an independent Director on board of Aditya Birla Chemicals, Abhijeet Power Ltd, Corporate Power Limited (SPV of Abhijeet Group), Chairman of Burnpur Cements and founding President of a NGO - Jan Swa Shakti Samiti. He is also an advocate on record with the Jharkhand High Court at Ranchi.
